AK Artist of the Year 2013–2014
Since appearing in these pages in 2013, Alaskan artist Carol Lambert has continued to explore how human beings connect to the natural world. She describes “Wing and Antler” (2016) as a meditation on the ways wild creatures help us to appreciate both life and death.
Carol earned her BA in Art and Art History at Brown University, and went on to study at several academies and studios, including the Art Students League in New York and Gage Academy in Seattle. She has exhibited in many solo, juried, and group shows. Her work is in private collections worldwide.
